Scope Of Practice
Massage Therapy is a profession were, the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of helping to normalizing those tissues. It consists of manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and/or causing movement of or to the body, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.
Massage Therapist do not diagnose illness, disease or any other physical or mental disorder. As such, the massage therapist does not prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals nor is any spinal adjustment performed.
Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical attention, and it is essential that all health information provided be true and correct. The massage therapist may be required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician, if you have certain conditions.
Cancellation Policy
MR Remedial Massage requests a minimum of 24 hours to cancel or change an appointment. Please understand that less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee of 50 % of the service cost. If you fail to show for your appointment, you will be charged your full appointment fee. This fee is payable before the next appointment.
If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours multiple times (2 or more), they will be asked to pre-pay for future services. Please note if you are using a voucher or program of any kind your voucher is subject to be redeemed and void and a fee of the difference between your voucher price and the actual price of the service can be charged.
If you need to re-book or cancel your appointment, please provide 24 hours’ notice to avoid paying the cancellation fee. You may cancel by phoning 0407897853 or by your account online.
I recognise that both massage therapists and clients are vulnerable to infections. I ask clients to cancel appointments when they are feeling unwell and I will do the same for you. If you are in doubt, please call as soon as possible and discuss with Marcel.
Cancellation Policy fees may be waved in instances of genuine sickness if appointment is rescheduled.
Sickness Policy
I recognise that both massage therapists and clients are vulnerable to infections. I ask clients to cancel appointments when they are feeling unwell and I will do the same for you. If you have any of the following contagious illnesses the massage session will be rescheduled: Cancellation fees will be waved due to sickness if appointment is rescheduled.
Covid 19, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Sore Throat, Flu, Chicken Pox, Head Lice, Ringworm, Common Cold anything that is or could be contagious please reschedule your appointment as soon as you are feeling ill.
Gift Vouchers
In line with Fair Trading Practices in NSW, our gift vouchers will be valid for a period of 3 years from the issue date, except where a voucher is donated for use in a fundraising appeal, including to a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
Please note that gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash, and most health funds will not pay a rebate for a treatment that is paid for on a gift voucher.
We do apologise for any inconvenience, but payment of rebates is beyond our control and is solely at the discretion of your health fund.

Packages Terms & Conditions
Sessions are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
Non-transferable – packages must be used by the same person
Not redeemable for cash or in conjunction with other offers
By purchasing a package, you agree to these terms and conditions. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel an appointment. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or you do not attend your appointment, the session will be deducted from your package
Refunds are available in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. If a refund is requested and approved, any treatments already used will be charged at the standard session rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
Draping
As a professional therapist I adhere to all industry standards in relation to draping.
As per industry standards, clients are required to leave underwear on when receiving treatment.
You will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped and should you feel uncomfortable at any time, please advise me. The clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
Payment
Payment in full is due at the time of service. Cash, EFTPOS, online or direct deposit via pay ID ‘0407897853’ is accepted. No bank details will be given out.
Hicaps is available for health fund claiming. Hicaps is an electronic feature and can have outages. If Hicaps is down, full payment is still required at the time of your appointment and you will be issued a receipt.
Working with Children
A person under the age of 18 must always have a parent/legal guardian present during treatment, the parent/legal guardian must sign the intake form. The parent/legal guardian must be the one to schedule the appointment(s).

Existing And New Medical Conditions
It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment or medications currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued, if requested.
The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.
Sexual Misconduct
Sexual misconduct is forbidden. Client understands that any illicit or sexually aggressive remarks, advances or gestures will result in the immediate termination of the session and client will be liable for full payment of the scheduled appointment.
Professional Boundaries
Requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated, it will be viewed as solicitation and reported to the proper authorities. The client will not be rescheduled if this occurs.
The breast and genital area will not be massaged under any circumstances. Permission will be asked before working close to these areas; otherwise, a professional distance will be maintained. Also, low back, hip & gluteal area will be massaged only with permission and can be worked through the draping if requested.
Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate. On rare occasions an involuntary sensual response to massage is natural and will subside on its own in a few moments.
I have the right to refuse service and therapist or client may end the session at any time. If therapist ends session due to Sexual Misconduct full payment is due.
If the therapist feels at any point their safety is compromised, the session will be stopped immediately, and authorities may be called, and full payment is due. and choice.
Respect For Client Needs and Boundaries
The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time and is free to ask the therapist to stop.
The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
Occasionally, an emotional response to massage occurs, for example crying. If this happens, it is ok to express the feelings in our safe, nonjudgmental environment - or you may request privacy and end the session. You are in control.
Confidentiality And Conversation
The discussion between the massage therapist and the client is confidential. The client may or may not choose to talk during the massage.
Online Course Terms and Conditions

By purchasing or accessing any of our online courses, you agree to these Terms.
1. Access and Enrolment
Access to our online courses is granted upon full or confirmed payment.
You’ll receive login details or course access instructions by email after purchase.
Access is for your personal use only and must not be shared, copied, or distributed to others.
We reserve the right to suspend or cancel access if misuse or unauthorised sharing occurs.
2. Course Content
All course materials, videos, handouts, and resources are owned by MR Remedial Massage.
You may use the materials for personal education and self development only.
You must not reproduce, republish, or distribute any part of the content without written permission.
3. Payment Terms
Course fees are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
Payment must be made in full at checkout or as per an agreed payment plan.
If paying via a payment plan, you authorise recurring payments from your nominated card until the balance is paid in full.
Access to the course may be paused if a payment fails or remains overdue.
4. Refund Policy
At MR Remedial Massage, we take care to provide high quality educational content that supports your health and wellbeing journey.
Once you’ve been granted access to an online course or digital resource, your purchase is considered final. Because digital content can’t be “returned,” we don’t offer refunds for change of mind, non completion, or accidental purchase.
However, in line with Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a refund or remedy if the product:
isn’t as described,
is faulty or inaccessible due to a technical issue we can’t resolve, or
doesn’t perform as promised.

7. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of our online course materials, except as required by Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the ACL.
8. Privacy
We respect your privacy and handle all personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and Australian Privacy Principles.
Information collected during enrolment is used only for course access, communication, and payment processing.
9. Amendments
We may update these Terms occasionally. The version in effect at the time of your enrolment applies to your purchase.
