Wondering why the pain keeps coming back?

  • You've tried treatment, but it never feels effective or targeted enough
  • You've had the painful area treated, but the problem keeps returning
  • You're looking for more than just temporary relief
  • You wonder what you can do in between sessions

I assess how your muscles work together to create movement and stability, looking at their various roles and relationships within the body. I look at which muscles may need strengthening, lengthening or better activation, and how changes in one area can affect another. If something isn't working, we reassess and adapt your treatment plan accordingly.

Nina Schuette, remedial massage therapist and Myotherapist leans over a massage table made with cotton green towels. She has a friendly smile and a trustworthy presence.

Hi, I'm Nina

I have completed a diploma of remedial massage and will soon complete my advanced diploma of myotherapy, however my story is much more than the studies I am completing..

In my early twenties I developed chronic lower back pain that gradually spread and started affecting my sleep, my exercise and my everyday life. I spent over ten years searching for answers before I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that explained what I'd been experiencing. Living with chronic pain has given me a personal understanding of how much pain and fatigue can effect your life.

That experience led me to bodywork and strength training, and sparked a deeper interest in understanding pain, movement and the factors that contribute to dysfunction. Practicing in massage and bodywork has driven me to understand the biomechanics rather than simply treating where it hurts.

I don't promise a quick fix. I work with you to find a thoughtful, targeted approach that helps you understand your individual presentation, make sense of your pain and movement, and move forward with practical tools you can use between appointments.

What clients are saying!

Nina has helped so much with pain and tightness in my back, neck and shoulders. She’s an expert at finding all the trouble spots and I always feel so much better afterwards. I’ve been to see a lot of physios and massage therapists over the years but none of them come close to Nina.

After having multiple sessions with Nina I can confidently say she is excellent at her profession. Having felt some obscure muscular pains, Nina investigated the issue and in one session she found multiple root problem areas. She knew exactly where to press, I left feeling rejuvenated and quite impressed with how her treatment affected me. A week later and I was still noticing a difference in those muscles. She is very knowledgeable and caring in her treatment. I'd highly recommend her!

I don't normally do reviews but hands down the best remedial massage sessions I’ve had. Nina listened carefully to my issues, identified the tight spots I couldn't even reach, and used expert techniques to release the tension. I felt immediate relief in my range of motion and left with a clear recovery plan.
